Nominated at La Nit del Circ for Best Street Show and Best Clown Show 2018
Show recommended by REDESCENA 2019
A clown emerges from inside a suitcase, turns the audience into her family, and bids them farewell, loaded with hope and lots of stuff. But the journey is interrupted by an obstacle: a border. That border will allow her to play, dance, and find different ways to confront whatever stands in her way. The audience will be part of the show throughout the journey: a crowd waving white handkerchiefs, a mother helping her get dressed, a man sipping coffee with her through the wire fence, a woman offering her a jump rope, and the children becoming the pillars holding up the roof of her house. In the end, and always thanks to everyone, she will achieve her goal: freedom.

How can the inexpressible be expressed? Can the feeling of loss and hope be expressed only through movement, through dance? Let's accompany Diego Garrido in his evolution as an artist, which he transports us to in his latest piece: "I'll Never Dance Alone."
The dancer takes us on a journey, to find the hope we've lost after a great loss. He offers us the light that breaks through the shadows, the dancer himself a light in himself, and serves to remind us, as spectators, that light and hope that might have been, to a greater or lesser extent, forgotten, also lie within us. A unique vision of how to understand and interpret our emotions and transform them for the delight of the senses. The bodily harmony, the artist's movements, and the staging transcend the merely physical, transporting us to a more dreamlike, mysterious, and hopeful dimension.
"El Mundo Atrás" by Rolando Salamé (Chile)
“People say: One day you'll return. But no one tells you how to return to a place that no longer exists. I only know that I'm walking and that the world gets smaller with each step.” Amir Nizar Zuabi.
“The World Behind” is a dance and physical theater piece that deals with an exodus, the inner and outer journey of the displaced, what they take with them, what they carry, what they leave behind, what remains. History is told by bodies in transit, in flight, or falling, if there is an end, souls that balance between two worlds, one that is dying and another that struggles to be born, beings that rise again and again to begin a path without certainties, but that could represent the triumph of hope over fear, there where our footprints intermingle with those of those who came before us, leaving behind old shelters, those false sanctuaries that we built to protect ourselves and that were transformed into a prison, in search of the horizon, of an illusion, of a vague idea of freedom.
"La Elefanta Danza" by Teresa Martín Sauceda (Madrid)
The Dancing Elephant is an allegory, a reflection on truth and memory, on those memories that we sometimes distort or hold unshaken over the years, blending reality and fantasy, and generating a moving "writing" similar to literary magical realism. It is a reflection on "authenticity," an animal moving forward, without stopping, honoring its history, remembering what it has traveled, and exposing its tanned hide to the sun.
In this work, Teresa Martín-Sauceda contrasts and contrasts this gigantic image of an elephant and questions the power of "historical truths."
DANSGÉNERE
SATURDAY 6/9/25 Pont de Suert.
"El País Más Pequeño de Todos" Manuel Martín (Cantabria).
Contemporary Dance
I remember the mystery of a hidden, swaying body. But behind that fragility, at the same time, it was full of strength and precision... It was a man...
The sensation of that which was unseen was of weight, of something corpulent, large, and insistent in its mystery. I longed to see your face. I watched you spin and spin and wondered what your expression would be like.
"La Ilusión" Proyecto NaNa (Andalusia), contemporary dance and clown.
What is illusion? It has no feet, but it does have wings. It has many forms, though none are concrete. It opens paths, but it doesn't walk them. It builds images that dissipate with a breath of air. Sometimes it abandons you, or weakens you and falls. It is everything and nothing, it is and it is not, it is the engine and the brake, it is the motive. This short, immersive dance and clown piece, designed for non-performing spaces and family audiences, "The Illusion" metaphorically questions the vulnerability of the individual and how to share it.
“M U T U A R” Manuel Martín & BATCH COLLECTIVE (Andalusia, Cantabria) Community Performance
This workshop, which will begin during the training and end with a collective exhibition with residents of Alta Ribagorça, seeks to generate something observable and transmitted between the participants, the sound space, the visual space, and the physical space.
Accompanying the event with video mapping by BATCH COLLECTIVE, and with the collaboration of professional dancers among the exhibition participants, this piece proposes dancing and mutating from one state to another by moving together and being able to change everything while enjoying the present.
LA VALL EN DANSA 2025
“Natural and Cultural Landscape” (Boí Valley) with Xavi Farré
Guided walk and reflections . SATURDAY, 8/30/2025, Cavallers area
"Shows the Winners of the La Vall en Dansa Competition"
SATURDAY 08/30/25, Cavallers area
With the aim of decentralizing art and its common exhibition spaces, we encourage performers and creators to seek out new, challenging spaces. We connect past and present through dance and reflection, and address topics of interest to the valley from a different perspective.
La Vall en Dansa opens a space for experimentation, research, and projection for new creators and residents of the Vall de Boí.
WHAT OTHER ACTIVITIES CAN BE DONE?
In addition to dancing, we are very close to the Caldes de Boi Spa. And if you arrive early or leave late, you can enjoy all the typical mountain activities: hiking, climbing, canyoning, and more. In Cavallers itself, there is a strong climbing tradition, and there are routes for granite lovers: alpine climbing, sport climbing, and bouldering. The valley is declared a World Heritage Site for its Romanesque art, and all the villages boast churches, chapels, paintings, and architecture from the period. And within a few kilometers, you can find adventure sports companies offering activities such as rafting or canyoning. If there's anything you're particularly interested in, don't hesitate to ask. We can put you in touch with local mountain guides.
WHO ORGANIZES PIRINEOS EN DANZA?
We are Laura Lara Mariscal (dancer and aerialist with La Viruta) and Teresa Martín-Sauceda (dancer and director of the company Proyecto NaNa Danza). We are both members of the association "DANZA EN PLURAL," whose goals are to create, foster, promote, and disseminate cultural activities, primarily to generate new spaces for contemporary dance and other movement techniques and related disciplines. With Pirineos en Danza, we want to move and reach new heights. Will you join us?
